FOUR MILE March 2009 Parole Board Decisions

INFORMATION UPDATED 03-31-09*

 Updated Information is underlined

Since my last update on March 24, 2009, the CO Board of Parole was able to determine they could  grant parole to ONE individual who was pending a decision. That certainly is different from their decision for the one individual at Fremont. Of course, the fortunate individual here had an MRD of 09-23-09 which has now become a Sentence Discharge Date of 03-03-12, extending his MRD by 3 years for his time on parole. He had been eligible for parole since 2006. Now we wait and see what the decisions are for the remaining 3 individuals and wish them luck!

The Parole Board held hearings on March 2, 2009 for eligible inmates at Four Mile Correctional Center (FMCC). Again these are only approximates derived from the data available through CDOC.

According to the Monthly Population and Capacity Report as of  02-28-09 published by CDOC, FMCC has an OPERATIONAL CAPACITY of 499. *Operational capacity includes all beds available for use, including management control units, but excludes emergency double bunking. On Grounds Population was 493, Off Grounds Population of 4. Therefore the total population is 497 inmates considered to be housed at Four Mile Correctional Center. The total population for FMCC, at the end of February 2009 was 497. Of those 497 inmates, the Parole Board had approximately 12 scheduled to be heard on March 2, 2009. That is 2.41%. 1 individual is no longer in the system for whatever reason.  None of the individuals have an estimated mandatory release date before September 2009, therefore I will not state whether any were granted parole. However, 1 of the 12 has been GRANTED parole. That’s 8.3%.  Leaving  25% with NO DECISION as of 03-31-09 or 3 of 12.   While 58.3% were DENIED or their next parole hearing date was set out to a new date, that is 7 of 12.

Parole Eligible  – person has completed a legislatively mandated percentage of their initial sentence to be eligible to appear before the Parole Board:

No Decision – Since I don’t have the exact definition of this from the Parole Board, I can only surmise from the data and explanations from offenders, this means they have either been “tabled” or been referred for a “full board”. “Full Board” means the offender’s file was referred by the parole board member presiding over the hearing to be reviewed and voted on by the entire board. An offender must receive 4 of 7 yes votes in order to be granted parole.

I’m writing because I made a huge mistake in writing you before on behalf of Jason crain 166024. As I see it since he was paroled out on April 13th it has gone down hill. I kept my promises to try to ensure that he would succeed but unfortunately as I also stated I have a no tolerance in my home especially with my kids. As of April 14th he had ordered 40 grams of synthetic marijuana, had regular marinara and became violent while using it. I wasn’t aware he was using till he started acting weird and getting violent that’s when I payed close attention. He admitted he was smoking and handed over his pipe and what I thought was the rest of his drugs. He got stranger and started assulting me where I have visible marks witnesses that have seen and heard his threats to the point where I kicked him out of my house continuously tried to contact his parole officer over 15 times and got no response so I had to speak with the officer of parole the supervisor who’s name is Teresa fleck. His original parole officer was Bob Hudspeth the man who advised him to motion all restitution payments so he didn’t have to pay it. Un professional. I’ve to the point had to call 911 several times and now have a temporary restraining order on him for abuse my Dr and witnesses have verified as well as he has been arrested and is of right now sitting in jail for email harassment and threats violation of parole and the tro. We have court on the 18th for a permenant ro but because I am terrified of him I have to be escorted by three officers and tessa and we can’t be in the court room at the same time. This man had caused my health issues to worsen to where I almost had a stroke it had been verified by my Dr I have lost 10 pounds within a week of last seeing them. I’ve learned my lesson to never write a parole board again or help anyone at all. Also I am in the process of speaking to attorneys because as this person’s sponsor I’ve done what I could and when things git bad I tried to contact his parole officer and got no response what so ever. Also I have had to turn in evidence to the dhs office because he and his mom decided to write up a fake letter to get Jason Medicaid and foodstamps. Jason crain has broken almost every rule of parole my lesson learned is to never help anyone again cause my and my kids welfare and safety are more important.
